Find your ring size

Measure your finger circumference: wrap, mark, measure in millimetres, then match the size chart.

Monaru fixed-size rings use US/Canadian sizes. Sizes 6-8 are common in our range; the options on each product page show the sizes available for that particular design. An adjustable ring is identified on its product page and does not use a fixed-size fit.

Approximate international conversion

US / Canada EU circumference size UK (approx.) Inside diameter Inside circumference
6 52 L 1/2 16.5 mm 51.9 mm
7 54-55 N 1/2-O 17.3 mm 54.4 mm
8 57 P 1/2-Q 18.1 mm 57.0 mm
9 59–60 R–S 18.9 mm 59.5 mm

Conversions are approximate and vary slightly between sizing systems and ring designs. Use the millimetre measurements as a guide; for the most accurate fit, have your finger measured by a jeweller.

Measure a ring you already own

  1. Choose a ring that fits the intended finger comfortably.
  2. Measure straight across the inside of the ring, excluding the metal edges, in millimetres.
  3. Compare the inside diameter with the chart above.

Measure your finger

  1. Wrap a narrow strip of paper around the base of the intended finger without tightening it.
  2. Mark where the strip meets, then measure that length in millimetres.
  3. Compare it with the inside circumference column. Check that the ring can also pass comfortably over your knuckle.

Measure when your hands are at a comfortable temperature and repeat the measurement. If you are between sizes, or choosing a wide band, contact us for help before ordering.

Adjustable rings

Adjust only a design explicitly described as adjustable. Make a small, gentle adjustment; do not repeatedly bend, twist or force the ring. The fit range is design-specific, so follow the information on its product page.

Piercing fit and quantity

Piercings are sold individually; the displayed price is per piece. Check the design width, post length and back type on the product page. Shaft diameter/gauge is a separate measurement from post length. If the gauge is not listed, contact contact@monaru.ca before ordering to confirm compatibility. Do not infer gauge from a photograph.

Care for your jewelry

Solid gold

Clean gently with a soft cloth. For plain solid-gold pieces, use lukewarm water and a little mild soap, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive products and harsh chemicals; store pieces separately to reduce scratches.

Gold vermeil

Protect the gold layer from friction and chemicals. Remove before swimming, showering, exercise and applying perfume or cosmetics. Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth; avoid abrasive polishing products and soaking.

Gold-plated and white-gold-plated silver

Keep the plating dry and away from perfume, lotions, cleaning agents and chlorine. Wipe with a soft, dry cloth and store separately in a pouch. Avoid abrasive silver polish on plated surfaces.

Sterling silver

Store dry and separately, ideally in an anti-tarnish pouch. For unplated sterling silver without delicate stones, use a silver-specific polishing cloth gently. Use the plated-jewelry instructions for plated silver.

Pearls and gemstones

Put these pieces on after perfume and cosmetics. Wipe pearls with a soft cloth after wear. Avoid soaking pearls and using ultrasonic or steam cleaners on pearls or unidentified gemstones. Choose cleaning methods appropriate to the specific stone and setting.
